With an illustrious history of 137 years, the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore is now among the top ten universities in Pakistan. Originally established as a school in 1882, it was later converted into a college in the next two decades, i.e. in the late nineteenth century. Realizing the importance of livestock and poultry sectors in the economy of the county and the growing need for human resources and research work in veterinary and animal sciences and allied fields in the country, this historic institution was upgraded as a university in 2002. was graded.

Currently consists of UVAS. 23 departments in seven affiliated institutions with five faculties, four institutes, two circle colleges at Attock, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Okara, Lahore, Narowal and Sahiwal. UVAS reflects a unique blend of illustrious history and modern-day ongoing professional development. The main building of this institution, built 100 years ago, is still considered a symbol of historical glory, while the university has now expanded to six campuses, including City Campus Lahore, Ravi Campus Pattoki, Avian Research and Training Center Lahore, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang, KBCMA College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Narowal and PARA Veterinary Institute Karor, District Layyah. Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates securing minimum 60% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board/university can apply for admission to all degree programs.
• Candidates securing minimum 50% marks (except Hafiz Quran) in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University may apply for admission to B.S. (Hons) Fisheries and Aquaculture, Biological Science, Poultry Science, Dairy Technology and Botany
• Final merit will be based on the marks obtained in Matric/O-Level or any other equivalent examination and F.Sc Part-II/A-Level or any other equivalent examination in three subjects (theory only).
• F.Sc (Pre-Medical): Physics, Chemistry, Biology
• F.Sc (Pre-Eng.): Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
• Weight: F.Sc (70%) and Matric (30%)
• Candidate should not be more than 23 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
