Established in 1882 in Lahore, Punjab University is the largest and oldest seat of higher education in Pakistan. It was the first university established in a Muslim-majority region in the subcontinent. The bustling city of Lahore is the Quaid-e-Azam Campus, named after the Father of the Nation, located 12 km south of the Allama Iqbal Campus. Eligibility Criteria:
For MS / MPhil / Equivalent:
I.BS (Hons) 4 years / MA / MSc. / B.Sc (Hons) 4 Years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent in relevant subject from an HEC recognized university (minimum 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) as per HEC and Punjab University rules.
ii.No third division in the entire career.
For Ph.D.:
I.BS (Hons) 4 years / MA / MSc. / B.Sc (Hons) 4 Years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or its equivalent from an HEC recognized university (minimum 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0 / First Division as per HEC and PU rules.
ii. M.S./M.Phil. / MSc (Engg/Hons.) or equivalent degree with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0/First Division as per HEC & PU rules.
iii. No third division in the entire career.
iv. Candidates without a thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent can be admitted but they have to fulfill the deficiency of 06 credit hours research thesis.
