PhD position summary/title: SYNTHETIC ORGANIC CHEMISTRY & CATALYSIS PHD POSITION

The research will use an elegant blend of synthetic organic chemistry and computational chemistry to generate organocatalytic reactions. Organocatalysis has grown fast over the last several decades and has become essential for the synthesis of many medicines and specialty compounds. Despite these advances, developing new effective organocatalytic systems remains a difficult undertaking because there is no solid approach in place. Using novel computational and experimental methodologies, this study will gain new insights into the molecular process of catalysis. The findings will be used for the rational creation of strong organocatalytic processes that will allow the production of more complex molecules.
