Scholarship Support:
This bursary covers the applicant’s expenditures for one month, up to 4,400 EUR (5,000 USD). It includes:
- Travel expenses: The organization will pay for the applicant’s economy class airfare from his or her place of employment to the host’s location.
- (Public) Transportation: The organization will cover the cost of train or bus transportation from the airport to the candidate’s headquarters or host institution.
- Hotel Stay: The grant can pay one night of hotel expenses per arrival and departure.
Fees for Visas and Travel Insurance: The grant may cover visa and travel insurance costs. - Basic Living Allowance: A daily allowance based on living expenses. If meals are included in the accommodation, the daily amount will be reduced.
- Accommodation: The prize can be used to cover lodging costs in the host country. If no guesthouse or rental unit is available, a hotel stay (up to 4 weeks) is acceptable.
- Keep all travel invoices, visas, insurance, hotel, and taxi receipts. Send them through regular mail to the CDC/IMU Secretariat.
- Basic living expenses may not be reimbursed if you travel during public holidays or when the host institution is closed, but housing expenses may be.

Application Requirements:
- At the time of application, the candidate must be based in a developing nation.
- At the time of application, the candidate must hold a Ph.D.
- The candidate must hold a post at a university or research institution.
- Candidates must be early professionals and no older than 35 years old at the time of application.
